It's Time To Live Again

β€œtoo much of our precious time can get wasted, worried about how to be perfect.”

A few days ago I realized how silly perfection is.πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

Many of my great plans have been thrown on the back burner because they weren't perfect. Feeling as though, there was something that needed to be fixed.

Later on, I began wondering how to perfect myself. As perhaps I was the β€œsomething” that needed fixing.

Perfectionism is a death sentence.πŸ’€

I grew up with the notion that you should strive for perfection - no matter what.

If it's not perfect then it's not good enough.

The problem with that is, I started taking it in as a personal truth. My thoughts turned into - β€œSince I'm not perfect, than I'm not good enough.”

I believed that I was inadequate. And I never felt β€œready” to do anything or show my face. I became the Queen of nitpicking. Always finding faults in something.

I felt like, I had to work out my imperfections before being seen.

That was a load of malarkey.πŸ€ͺ

Perfectionism kept me from living.πŸ’–πŸ’ƒπŸΎ

Do you struggle with the β€œbe perfect” concept? Than you may know how isolating it can be. Depleting and discouraging.

Instead of living your best life ; your focused on crafting a perfect life. But perfection doesn't exist.

Nothing in nature is perfect. Everything is good, very good. Beautifully made. Wonderfully unique. Just like you.

This life doesn't require you to be perfect.

So, let it go. It's time to live again.πŸ™ŒπŸΎ

That may seem like a big ask. It's definitely something that will take time.

As I was writing this, I was still fighting the feeling myself. But this must be done.

It's time to put aside the falsehood around perfection. Stop overcomplicating things. And allow yourself to simply exist as is.

You are good enough. Always have been and always will be.

…⏰…⏰…⏰

Well that's my time for today. I felt like this had to be said out loud. Consider this a reminder note - for the both of us. πŸ˜‚

Until next time,

Take care πŸ’–
